JOB TITLE:  Controls Engineer

BUSINESS CONTRIBUTIONS:      

As a Controls Engineer for OSCO, you will be responsible for the design and development of all electrical control systems, equipment and machinery.  Provide exceptional service to our customer’s end needs including installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. The ideal candidate will have experience in an engineered-to-order, complex manufacturing environment.  The Controls Engineer is expected to have experience in 2D modeling software such as AutoCad, and demonstrate a working knowledge of a formal MRP/ERP system.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, develop and program controls systems utilizing any number of the following:

  • Control panels
  • Motors
  • Limit/proximity switches
  • Pushbuttons/foot switches/key pads
  • HMI’s & PLC’s & VFD’s

Accurately develop conceptual and detailed layouts of schematics for all controls.

Prepare and develop specifications for all electrical components required on jobs.

Accurately create and maintain items, BOMs & Shop Packets in the ERP system.

Providing timely and accurate technical support and application assistance for all customers.

Conduct departmental training in product design and new technology.

Work with cross functional teams providing support as needed.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

A bachelor’s degree in engineering with a minimum of 0-5 years controls experience.
