Two-hand Control Bar System Retrofit for Hydraulic Press
Challenge
An Oklahoma area fabricator needed to replace their legacy two-handed control bar linkage for their hydraulic press. They wanted to replace the old controller with a more modern and safer solution.
Solution
OSCO Controls provided a safety retrofit solution on their legacy eight-ton hydraulic press with an electrical control panel system designed with modern two-hand control sensors, a pneumatic cylinder assembly, an E-stop and a safety logic controller.
Result
Now, the fabricator’s employees will be required to keep two hands on the run-bar, away from the pinch point and meet modern OSHA standards.
